Self-care. Do you.

Now here’s the thing: getting married is a big deal. A big, BIG DEAL. And believe it or not, it’s a big deal to people other than you and your beloved. Parents, siblings, extended family, friends, co-workers, and others are looking for certain things to happen on your wedding day. The best man wants to give a really cool, funny speech that will be talked about for years. One of your cousins wants to see how she’ll look all dressed up now that she’s lost 30 pounds. And your friend from work wants a chance to prove to every one else that they’re really your best, best friend. You get what I mean. There are countless ideas that other people have about YOUR wedding day. Just because every wedding on your beloved’s side of the family had a bouquet toss and a garter belt toss doesn’t mean that YOUR wedding needs to have any of that. Just because on Pinterest you see all these weddings done up in millenial pink or champagne or whatever doesn’t mean YOU need to do that. What you’ll discover, if you haven’t already, is that you’ll be so much happier only doing what reflects who you are. I’m just saying what you already know. I’m giving you permission to be yourself, to just do you. Do you know who you are?

Minions anyone?
